At Coolbinia Primary, we highly value our students and extend a warm welcome to them in a dedicated and positive educational setting. We are a tight-knit community comprising students, teachers, and families.

As the Principal with over 30 years’ experience, I can assure you that you will not find a school more vibrant, dynamic with a learning environment focused on all facets of student learning and engagement.

As a leader I have five pillars that form the basis for my actions and my decisions.

  • The acquiring of skills and knowledge.

  • The creation of the belief of ‘I can’ and ‘We can’.

  • The establishment of a safe environment for all.

  • There is a strong values framework.

  • The development of a connection to the school of ‘belonging to something bigger than self’.

I love being a dad to my 3 daughters, Jemima, Genevieve and Matilda they have had a profoundly positive impact on me as a person and an educator. I am energised by giving every child the opportunity to be seen and heard and to ensure schools are a fabulous place for children to learn and families to be part of.

Our commitment is to provide a lively, dynamic, and supportive learning environment that places a strong emphasis on nurturing the “whole student.” This philosophy is underpinned by effective leadership and the dedication and talent of our teachers, evident in their daily efforts.

The school cultivates a learning culture that promotes excellence and accomplishment, instils solid values, and fosters a genuine sense of belonging within a well-organized and disciplined atmosphere. Students are motivated to strive for success within an environment that encourages high expectations and the attainment of rigorous standards.

As you explore our website, we hope that you will be inspired to personally experience all that Coolbinia Primary has to offer. Your interest in our school is greatly appreciated, and we warmly invite you to visit the school to fully explore the numerous opportunities we provide for your children.
