This year the Coolbinia Primary School Choir will be attending the One Big Voice Festival for 2021 held at RAC Arena Perth on Friday the 20 August. This will be the festivals 21st birthday and is held annually for primary school choirs across the whole of Western Australia. There are two main performances, a matinee and evening. Coolbinia will be attending the Matinee performance which runs during school hours.
One Big Voice is a choral festival aimed at promoting a love of singing, friendship and acceptance as well as developing relationships with other children who share a love of music. The festival is open for all students from years three to six and we invite all students in the choir to take part.
Students learn a repertoire of ten songs and choreography composed solely for the festival and Western Australian Primary Schools which also includes some popular songs from the charts. Students have begun learning the songs both in class and during choir time and will continue to learn the repertoire in preparation for the concert. Students will be able to access the songs and choreography videos from home to continue their practice at home.
