You’re invited to a free Wildflower Discovery Walk & Talk, Saturday 27 August from 1-4pm. This event is possible thanks to a Federal Volunteer grant, obtained through the support of Mr Patrick Gorman MP,  our wonderful sponsor – the Urban Bushland Council, and with the support of the Coolbinia Primary School. Tickets are free and places are limited so book now to avoid disappointment.

The event will commence at 1pm with a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony presented by Mr Neville Collard. Guided walks will be offered concurrently- a Noongar Walk & Talk, and a Wildflower Walk & Talk. Free afternoon tea will be held in-between. During Djilba this precious urban bushland will be a magnificent carpet of bright colour, with wildflowers and orchids providing a great opportunity for some beautiful photos. Our Objectives:
1. Restoring and maintaining the bushland, protecting species original to this spot and removing anything that doesn’t belong.

2. Building, sharing and caring for our group and the bushland through knowledge, understanding growth.

3. Enhancing and promoting the benefits of passive recreation opportunities while caring for the bushland.

4. Talking about the bushland to the school and other stakeholders.
