“The residents enjoyed the visit enormously. They haven’t stopped talking about it!” The Activities Coordinator at RSL Care Menora was so impressed after our student leaders performed there this week. Six Year 6 students talked to the residents about the different leadership roles at our school and then performed a brilliant a cappella rendition of “Hit the Road Jack” (by Ray Charles), then a skit and a poetry reading of “Platypus and Kookaburra” (by Rex Ingamells).
Our students excelled! The residents requested an encore for each item! Following the formal part of the visit, the children played games and worked on puzzles with the residents. It was a joy to see everyone enjoying themselves so much!
