The culmination of our hard work over the past two terms led to our appearance and performance at the RoboCup State event last Friday. Our four teams, The Dragons, Waterpatrol, The Rabbits and The Australian Outback Party, competed against another forty teams to win a place in the top ten, so we could advance to the finals on Saturday. From these teams, two made it through to the finals and tried their best and although we didn’t win we believe it is fair to say that we all shot for the moon and landed among stars. It was astounding to see so many teams from both Primary and Secondary schools turn up for the event whether in rescue, soccer or onstage performance. We had a good many laughs, times of nerves, serious faces and times where our school ethics and values helped us through. In summary, RoboCup was an event that we will remember for many years to come. This truly was an amazing experience and we were very lucky to take part. Also, we would just like to say thankyou to Dr Lewis, Mr Wilson, Mr Kaye and our Parents who gave up a good many hours to support us on our journey through Roboclub and the RoboCup competition. Thanks again we couldn’t have done it without you!!!
