On Wednesday 27 March we had our Interschool Swimming Carnival. As you may expect everyone was nervous but when our Year Sixes dived in the water they achieved an outstanding seven 1st places. Next up were the Year Fives, they were amazing achieving an unexpected amount of points for Coolbinia. We also had the Year Fours who had an insane amount of cheering which helped strive us to our victory. We beat our rival school Mt Lawley by a whopping 100 points. Throughout the day everyone had 100% effort but this could not have been achieved without our swimming coach Ross who trained us at Terry Tyzack Aquatic Centre. We would like to acknowledge all the parent and teacher helpers especially Mr Harris and Mrs Creasy who have been supporting us throughout all of the swimming carnivals. They played a big part in helping us achieve the 2018 Interschool Victory Shield. Congratulations to Emily Barwick who achieved an amazing 2 new records in freestyle and breaststroke. Congratulations to Melda P from Year 4 and Emily B from Year 6 who achieved Individual Champions for their year group. Once again we would like to thank everyone who made this possible.
